The Phoenix Club provides child care for families in the local community before and after school during term time and all day during the school holidays.
The club aims to provide a friendly and secure environment for children before and after school. It is open from 7.45am - 8.45am and from 3.10pm - 6.00pm Monday to Friday during term time. It opens between 8.00am and 6.00pm during the school holidays.
The Phoenix Club provides a relaxed atmosphere focused on play and leisure for the children to enjoy before or after school. A wide range of activities are on offer ... arts, crafts, music, games, puzzles, outdoor activities, computers and the opportunity for all children to socialise outside of school. The club has a dedicated quiet area which includes comfy sofas and chairs, books, TV and video. The children have supervised access to an adventure playground, sprots pitches and field. Children have the opportunity to work on their homework if they wish. During the school holidays The Phoenix Club arranges a variety of activities to keep the children fully occupied including outdoor games, sports, picnics and trips out.

All staff have been police checked. The club is supported by OSCA (Out of School Childcare Action) who operate regular training courses for playworkers and staff involved in caring for children of primary school age. Our staff have regular training in a variety of aspects of child care. The Phoenix Club is also a member of the Cambridgeshire Network of Out of School CLubs which meet regularly to share knowledge and experiences.
The Phoenix Club is managed by the governors of the school. The main objective of the governors is to support staff in providing the best possible play and care facilities for your children.
