 We are the KINGFISHERS!

 Mr Shepherd

 Mrs Anstee

Spring 2010

An idea of what we will be getting up to in our topic sessions is provided over to the right a bit but in other areas of the curriculum....

Most importantly as far as the children are concerned, our learning in Science is centred on electricity. This has already caused huge levels of excitement! We will also be making our own website (with a focus on e-safety too), thinking about responsibilities, developing our ball skills, living in a castle purely for the benefit of writing stories and so much more!

 Stunning Science

On Friday some Mums and Dads came in to see what our Science was like. They joined in as well. We were seeing if a car could go as far as possible down a ramp. The Kingfishers discovered that the car could go more than 2m when we had whiteboards in front of the ramp.

This was written by the Kingfishers on 12th March 2010.

There are lots of things happening throughout the week, so here are those snippets of information you might find useful!

Our PE lessons are now on Monday and Thursday but we suggest that your child brings their PE kit in on a Monday and takes it home again at the end of the week. Could you please include PE clothes suitable for both indoor and outdoor lessons.

Could you please help your child to remember to bring their reading book in everyday. If they have finished their book and need to change it they should place it in the blue box – they know where it is! We change books with the children on every day except for Friday.
