 We are the KINGFISHERS!

 Mr Shepherd

 Mrs Anstee

Autumn 2009

This term we will be asking lots of questions about dinosaurs and discovering the answers. We will also be making a huge work of art for the whole community, making and selling postcards, learning about healthy living, creating a puppet, writing exciting stories and generally having loads of fun and becoming more skilful and knowledgeable!

The White Dinosaur of Houghton

This, of course, is a triceratops! It was created as a grand work of art to conclude our art project for this term. Made out of sheets, curtains, towels and a pair of trousers (can you spot them?), the White Dinosaur of Houghton graced the landscape on Friday 20th November. Well done everyone, it looks superb!

How your body works by the Kingfishers

On Thursday, we did some drama about how your body works. We learnt that your heart pumps all of your blood around your body and it's taking oxygen to your muscles.

This was written by the Kingfishers on 23rd October.

There are lots of things happening throughout the week, so here are those snippets of information you might find useful!

Our PE lessons are on Wednesdays and Fridays but we suggest that your child brings their PE kit in on a Monday and takes it home again at the end of the week. Could you please include PE clothes suitable for both indoor and outdoor lessons.

Could you please help your child to remember to bring their reading book in everyday. If they have finished their book and need to change it they should place it in the blue box – they know where it is!
